How can I combine a marriage service with a baptism?

Is there any way we can accept godparents who are not baptized?

Godparents must have been baptized. They should normally also have been confirmed but the vicar has a discretion to dispense with the requirement for confirmation (but not the requirement for baptism) in a particular case.


Do I make a charge for the baptism certificate?

No fees are payable for baptism itself or for entering the baptism in the register of baptisms. The fee prescribed in the table of parochial fees for a certificate issued at the time of baptism is payable only if a certified copy of the entry in the register is asked for and provided. No fee


Can I baptise a child from a family who lives outside the parish?

Yes. You must seek the goodwill of the family's parish priest before you perform the baptism in your parish.
